Please note that due to the intensity of the course and the large amount of material covered, we cannot offer Exam Review Sessions for this course. This means that you will not be able to access any of the Review Sessions or online content with a Lite membership.
Students in Dr. Seidel’s Section:
Study Edge will not be offering live reviews or content that is specific to your professor. Why not, you ask? Well, despite the fact that you are all taking the same MCAT/PCAT/ etc. and should therefore all be learning the same material, this class is not standardized within UF (unlike CHM2045). The professors in this class teach the same content, but in very different ways from each other. For example, some professors in CHM2210 cover all of chapter 11, while some do not. Which begs the question, do you need that material or not? If so, why aren’t all of the professors covering it to get you ready for your future? And if not, why are some spending time on this and not on other topics that are more important for your future? Can the department not agree on the best way to prepare you for your next UF course, as well as for your future job or graduate program? Or, perhaps they could agree, but haven’t made it a priority to do so? We simply don’t know.
In addition to that problem, your professor’s decision to cover material in a non-standardized manner makes it impossible for supplemental services such as Study Edge and UF’s very own Teaching Center to provide the necessary specialized content for each section of the course.
If you’d like to encourage the University to fix this problem (as it’s been fixed in CHM2045), we believe the person to talk to is the Associate Provost: Dr. Chris J. Hass.
If you are a Study Edge member, you will still be able access online chapter reviews that align to the topics in your textbook (though again, not specific to your professor), post any questions you have on the wall for this class, and come to Study Hours to get any questions answered.
